It's coooooooooold! Texas! Why can you not just be a COMFORTABLE temperature! Sweltering heat to extremity-numbing cold in one day!? Really?
I am coping with hot chocolate heavily laced with chocolate coconut rum.
Because I can. I can now pretend I'm a little warmer.
Anyone know of good gloves that do not interfere with keyboard use?

Commiserations, Aimless! I am afraid I can't help with the glove problem. But if you have a bed buddy, heat it up in the microwave and wrap it around your neck, or rest your forearms on it as you type. If you don't have one, you can make one by sewing rice up in an old 100% cotton t-shirt.
Meanwhile, imagine enjoying your cold snap with hot flashes. People think, "ooo, that would be good. Keep me nice and warm on the cold days"... But they're followed by COLD FLASHES! Bone-chilling, teeth-chattering cold flashes! Or so I've heard... myself say, more than once. Maybe it's just me.
(This is one of those things that older women never tell you, like "you will have days when you hate your children" and "yes, you will remember in great detail just how much it hurt when they fought their way out of you"... and that "Getting drunk brings on the hot flashes". Damn. Feels just like Texas...)

If you buy true fingerless gloves, the material is often too thick for easy typing. My wife buys thin, inexpensive knit gloves and cuts off the fingertips, turning them into fingerless gloves that work better for typing.

The fingertips getting so cold they feel like they're about to break off is my biggest problem. Need to remind my husband that last year he was talking about getting me one of those fantastic heated keyboards for this reason. I can bundle up and deal with the cold as long as fingers and toes are warm.

Hope you recovered from the hangover. If not, we have plenty of the hair of the dog in the pub.
