Hello, My name is Brian D. Meeks. And I have a problem...I've been writing every day since Jan 2, 2010. I can't seem to stop. For me, it started out as blogging. I didn't think it would be a big deal, but I was wrong. Blogging is a gateway "drug" if you will. Before I knew it I was guest posting, carrying around a moleskin, and getting up in the middle of the night to jot down an idea. It didn't stop there. I started to write novels. I've written seven of them, five are published, and two probably should be if I'd get off my butt and get them done (I mean, they're both back from my editor!), but I just keep writing more. One night, back in Jan 2011, I had the writing bug bad. I ended up going through a 21 day writing bender. It was a blur and when I came out the other end, I had given birth to my first non-fiction work. It's sort of the the love child of my collection. I just wish I could remember what happened. Such dark days indeed. So, now I'm here...writing...about my addiction. It isn't just the writing monkey on my back, but it's close cousin, the marketing monkey. That rush of a sale or a new ranking number when running a promotion is almost too much. I don't leave the house anymore. I avoid my friends (I'm sure they can see the shame written across my forehead in bright red letters...AUTHOR) Oh well, I guess admitting you have a problem is the first step. I'm glad to be here. Welcome, Brian! Your work sounds amazing. What genre do you write in? We're all writing/marketing junkies here, so you have landed on the right planet.

Thanks Everyone! I'm pleased to be here. To answer Suzy's question, I have the Henry Wood Detective series, which is mystery, a thriller, A Touch To Die For, a YA/MG series called Secret Doors, and a satire that should be out soon, Underwood, Scotch, and Wry.

Hi everyone! I'm starting over, since I haven't been posted after the old board was blown to bits. (I have lurked a wee bit though.) Anyway, I'm Susan Daffron and I've written quite a few nonfiction books and one romantic comedy novel called Chez Stinky (http://www.ChezStinky.com). The big list is on my Amazon Author page: www.amazon.com/Susan-C.-Daffron/e/B000API7Y6/I just finished the first draft of my second romantic comedy, which is now with two alpha readers. So now, I'll post this and see if my avatar got blown away too.

So you kicked me out once and ran me around in circles to get back in. I know when I’m not wanted!
All right, I’m calming down now.
It’s all this Anne Rice this and Anne Rice that, it’s made me cranky.

Swearing is allowed here and all sorts of non-PC stuff too. Welcome Pete! Thanks for making the effort.
