Hey, would some of you guys mind checking to see if you can get into the "Bookshelf" portion of your KDP account? I can get into Reports and Community (the forums), but when I try to access the Bookshelf or the Contact-Us link, I get sent to the sign-in page, even though it shows I'm already signed in. Is it a weird systemwide glitch or something with my account only?

Works perfectly for me, Becca. How strange.

It is working okay for me this morning.
Try logging out entirely and signing in again, making sure to enter your password correctly. I vaguely recall people on KB reporting this kind of issue a long time ago. It was caused by some weirdness where Amazon creates a new account if you type in an incorrect password with a valid email address. As I recall, the main clue was that you get the message "Your account information is incomplete" in the upper right corner of the page when you sign in.

Thanks, guys. Yeah, something's wrong with my account. How annoying. Daniel, I remember the thing you're talking about. I don't think that's what's happening, as I'm not getting the "your info's not complete" screen. (I do get that when I forget I'm logged in as Becca and go to check my sales ... there's always a "huh???" moment before I realize what's going on). In this case, I just get shunted back to this over and over: Screenshot 2015-03-19 11.05.25.pdf (83.86 KB)

That definitely sounds like an issue for KDP support.
When I log in from scratch, I get sent straight to the Bookshelf. What do you see?

Yeah, it if is the same in more than one browser, you definitely need to get hold of support.

When I do so, I get bounced back to the page I attached above. I can get into the dashboard through the direct link I've saved to the "Reports" page, and from there I can click through to "Community" and "KDP Select," but I can't get to the bookshelf. Laura, yeah, it's happening in multiple Explorer as well a Chrome.

Yikes. It will be interesting to see what Amazon has to say. Your books are still live at least.

Maybe I've been banned from posting new books because I'm a plagiarist. I wish I hadn't thought of that too. Ugh. When I log in and look at the Reports page, it looks like the Help link is still there at the top. Do you mean that if you click Help at the top and then click the Contact Us button on the lower left side, it boots you out? If so, that's mighty rude

So I wrote to "kdp-support@amazon.com" directly. No response, yet, so I'm not sure mail sent to that address gets through.

Maybe you can get someone at Author central to help? They are often much quicker than KDP

You still haven't heard anything???
I was just coming here to ask you about the current status. My fingers are crossed.

Yup, they had disabled the account due to plagiarism. In fact, they seem to have been in the process of deleting it.
Honestly, the lower echelons of KDP appear to be utterly incompetent.

Have you got it back, Becca? (Please say that it's all sorted now.)

That's awful! I hope you have got it back now, Becca. The lower echelons are robots, I believe.
