Hi everyone. The first in my Verity Long series of comedy cozy mysteries is free today until Saturday (inclusive). As I cannot see dot com pricing, I would be grateful if someone can confirm its price status for me - just to be on the safe side. Thanks. Strictly Murder is a typically British whodunit with a lot of very British humour. The estate agent's details listed two reception rooms, kitchen and bath. What they failed to mention was the dead celebrity in the master bedroom. Personal assistant Verity Long's house hunt is about to turn into a hunt for a killer. It will take some fancy footwork to navigate the bitchy world of dance shows, television studios, and dangerously gorgeous male co-stars. When Verity looks like the killer's next tango partner, she discovers that this dance is ... Strictly Murder. US link: www.amazon.com/dp/B0084MZWPOUK link: www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0084MZWPO

Woot woo! Thanks, Rinelle. Much appreciated - I hope you enjoy it. I'm sure I will. I've really enjoyed the snippets you posted. Might be a while before I get to it though, I have a huge list of books I need to get to.

Hey, that's great news. I already own it but I'll spread it around a bit. (Also, no one mentioned it and it's pretty obvious from the sales figures, but it is free in the US!)

Nice rankings! Did you advertise anywhere, or is that organic?

Shared it, and recommended it as good reading for my sister, who's just started writing cozies.

Nice rankings! Did you advertise anywhere, or is that organic? Thanks, Rinelle. That's pretty much organic. I've promoted it on a UK forum I belong to, and on a couple of Goodreads sites, as well as my own FB page. I let IBB know, and their email including Strictly Murder has just one out. The first of my two paid posts with A Girl and Her Kindle should go up a bit later today. I think that's just about it. It's slowing down today, which is a bit disappointing, but it's still early yet. Lindy - thanks for the share. I hope your sister likes it, if she does pick it up.

That's great then! I beginning to think that posts on goodreads are pretty useful in terms of getting downloads.

Huge thanks to those who picked up Strictly while it was free. If you ever get around to reading it, then I hope you enjoy it. (I know, I've got a massive TBR pile, too.)
The rankings in the categories were good throughout the run. No 2 in British Detectives in the US and No 1 in Cozy Mysteries in the UK. It never fluctuated far from these numbers for the whole 5 days. I wont list the figures for all marketplaces ( though I did give away 299 in Germany and 28!! in Japan).
US downloads: 3620 UK downloads: 1744 Total global downloads: 5788
What may be of interest are the results from the BOGO promotion I did with A Girl and her Kindle - there's a thread about it on the main discussions page. The promo cost $10 and ran on Wednesday and Saturday. For this Strictly Murdered was featured on their FB page, Pinterest, Twitter, and Stumbleupon.
Total figures for each day: Tuesday: 1829 Wednesday: 811 Thursday: 684 Friday: 1455 Saturday: 948
Frankly, I don't think the promo did much - I did far better promoting it myself on a couple of FB groups and Goodreads groups on the Friday. I've had two more emails offering A Girl and Her Kindle's services, which I think I might now mark as spam.
Once again, thanks to all who downloaded it - the support is very much appreciated.
