Great post, Andrew. I agree that most of the people who would be following the Hop are not the intended audience. None of the bigots I've met have any interest in changing their minds or even discussing the subject civilly. However, awareness programs like the hop do serve to spotlight the cruel actions of the intolerant. Hopefully, most people are compassionate enough to reject the agenda of the phobics.

The younger you are, the more likely that is to be the case. Most of the bigots will quite literally die off over the coming decades. Not that they can't still do plenty of damage in the meantime.

Thanks, guys. And, yes, in the end the bigots will lose. They're on the wrong side of history. Not to mention slightly ridiculous.

It's a good message! I'm glad you're spreading it. My kids seem very open to the idea of equality for all people and I love that about the younger generation. ETA: Not that I'm old!

I liked your post, Andrew. I agree, I can't understand parents throwing out a son or daughter who is gay. That's not what I call unconditional love. Apart from that, I think parents have a duty to teach their children to like and respect people as they are not as they think the should be, according to their own narrow view of the world.
But I'm very lucky, as I grew up in Sweden, a very liberal country.

Thanks Terescia and Suzy. Such a shame these messages are still necessary, but while they are, I'm happy to do my part.

LOL. Whereas my twins were like, "What the hell? We each only get one?! Not fair!" They should just be glad you didn't have quadruplets.

Unless you have two dads. In which case formula will do you just fine. Plenty of us formula babies out there with perfectly respectable IQs.
