I just thought we'd celebrate our mummies as it's Mother's day tomorrow. Here I am with mine who, at age 93 came to visit me in Ireland last year.  |

Great thread idea! Here is my Mom (81 now, but this pic was 2 years ago, she was 79 then). The river raft guide said she was the oldest person to go down the rapids! It was a family thing, my brother, sister in law, sister, nephew, and myself with my Mom river rafting.  And here she is last September when she came to visit in San Francisco.  |

Lovely pictures, Alan. Your mother looks amazing!
But in my family, 80 is young! My grandmother died at 104 and my mother looks very likely to follow in her footsteps. She is still very sprightly, even if arthritis has made walking a little difficult. But she still swims in the sea every day in the summertime and lives on her own in an apartment in Stockholm.
