Indie author Gary Frazier reported great results on his Kindle Countdown Deals--without advertising of any kind. Based on that (and because I hated registering at all those sites) I did my first countdown in the fall with no notices except to a few friends so they could take advantage of the price. I sold about 80 books in those three days, nothing spectacular, but it was $$ and created wider visibility.
What has been your experience with countdowns?
My second one for The Girl on the Mountain runs tomorrow (April 18) through 23rd, starting at 99 cents. Grab a sample.
Thanks for looking--

I can heartily recommend The Girl on the Mountain. It's literary writing in a historical setting. I loved it.
One of those books you'll want to read many times, if you are anything like me.
