I'm in the "If You Can Dream It, We Can Tax It" state of MD, too. I have to pay $300 a year to the state just because I have an LLC (my publishing company). It's to declare assets. Yeah. I got no assets. So I pay $300 every year to say "My LLC owns nothing."

Dude...
The amount of money I paid the last two years... over six figures per year. Every time I think about sending those douchebags $100,000 it makes me sick.
And I have set up what is an extremely efficient tax program. I don't pay self-employment taxes on the vast majority of my income or things would have been completely out of hand.
Still, it hurts. And hurts bad. |
