It's exactly that shade of blue on a sunny day. We're going there tomorrow for a couple of days. Can't wait!

I'm here! In Kerry. We arrived about three hours ago. The house was freeeeeeeeeeeeezing. Colder indoors than outdoors. But we fired up the woodburner, switched on all the electric heaters and went for a long, wonderful walk on the beach. So beautiful-with the waves crashing in and flocks of seabirds swooping around.
And now I have just put in potatoes to bake and chicken to roast and having a glass of wine. House much warmer and smelling of wood smoke and roast chicken.
Tomorrow- long hike in the mountains, then more food& wine.

It's called the Seven Hogs, after an island with the same name. Great food there too... Sausages and fish and chips and beer and Guinness and live music every Saturday night. |

I We're just off the ring of Kerry and the scenery around us is just as spectacular. I'm just back from an all-day hike in the mountains. Brilliant sunshine and the ocean that luminous blue like in the picture. Very, very tired, but glowing (slight sunburn). Got a blister on the tip of my left little toe-ouch! But it was a gorgeous day. |
