A big thanks to SuzyQ for helping me set up a Mike Angel Mystery Series page on FB. I could have done it eventually without you but it wouldn't have been much fun! hugs to you... www.facebook.com/MikeAngelPICheck it out and offer any suggestions you might have.

It's a great page, David. And you did most of it yourself.

It's going to be very popular if you put up more pictures like the one with the girl wearing a postage stamp bikini...

It's going to be very popular if you put up more pictures like the one with the girl wearing a postage stamp bikini... Something about that girl struck a note here--she exudes a sexy, but wholesome and sensitive persona that I felt fit the Molly Bennett of my novels. I sometimes go looking for pics of a particular character in my novels, and have had great luck. So far, nothing for Angel himself, except perhaps that shadowy Bogie on the stairs that occupies the main photo. I have a couple of real life historical characters I would like to add. One question: how to make italics and bold in a remarks post on FB? I've tried pasting but it converts; tried html but no go. Perhaps it isn't possible. DHTF

I don't think it's possible, except if you put a text on a photo.
I like the picture of Mike, it really suggest what he looks like.
Looking good so far! And all your own work except a little tweak here and there from me.

As David's publicist, I order you all to go 'like' his page. Not because I'll chop stuff off you with my ax(e) if you don't, but because its'fun and different. www.facebook.com/MikeAngelPI

So far as I know, you can't put any effects into the comments boxes, other than a small variety of smileys and symbols. There's a list here: www.fbsmileys.com/

Today I got a brainy idea: why not make an album of photos that "fit" the characters, for each of the 8 novels! Well, it's time consuming, but I use an excellent stock photo site and pay for credits. I put up 18 photos for Dark Quarry, the #1 novel. There are so many characters in it because it's rather episodic, although there is a thread of a plot running through it. So am hoping the others don't take me so long. THEN, I'm putting in the following after "THE END" of each book: Would you like to meet Mike Angel and see all the characters in this novel? See interviews with Mike, Molly and Rick and sign up for Mike’s mailing list at: www.facebook.com/MikeAngelPIYeah, I plan interviews too. Such fun. Such a timewaster! hah

All great ideas. This way, you make each book come alive and the characters real.
I see it working as a website. And It's more interesting and easier to update.

Good idea, David. There are definitely readers out there who like interacting with authors on Fb. It's a great platform for that sort of thing.

I hear about people doing really well on Facebook, but it seems like Facebook makes every effort to foil my ingenious plans.
