Vikings often had red hair. There are two types of Irish colouring: red hair with green or blue eyes, or very dark hair with fair complexion and blue or brown eyes. My husband is very dark with brown eyes and fair complexion. Scandinavians often have blond hair, blue eyes but a darker complexion. My sons both married girls with brown hair and brown eyes. But two of my grandchildren are blond with blue eyes: my revenge

I met this guy a few years ago who looked like the red-bearded Viking guy from Thor (Volstagg). I'm still mad I didn't get an email address or something...

I know. Didn't realise he was a real king. But in those days, kings were elected, not born into some noble family.
