Back at you all. We've got big rain here and flash flood warnings for the entire holiday weekend, so we'll be hunkered down.

Happy Thanksgiving to those on the other side of the pond. Sorry to be silent for so long. My father died, then I got shingles, and I ended up way behind schedule on my Christmas release. I've been calling by to read your posts, but I've been working such silly hours to catch up with the book that I couldn't get my brain to write any words here. Anyway, I'm in the final preparation stage now, so should just about get the book out in time.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad, my condolences. And sorry about the shingles, too. Doesn't sound good at all.
We got a foot of snow overnight and it's still coming down. My family is spread all over hell's half acre, so it's just me, the hubs, the pets and one of Erin's dogs. A friend will be stopping by later on and he has Erin's other dog he'll be dropping off.
Then, not this coming weekend, but the next, we'll do our family day with my folks and my daughter and her family.
I'm still cooking a turkey and I made a couple of pies because I figure I can cook a moderate meal today and we'll have leftovers all weekend, so I won't have to do much.
We'll hunker down with Christmas movies and eat ourselves silly and other than having to do snow removal it will be a nice day.
Are you guys in a flood area, Daniel? That's one thing I'm lucky about. We live up high, so no flooding, though we do get lots of wind.

Stay safe, my American friends, and enjoy your holiday. Hugs, reveries. So sorry to hear about your dad and the shingles. Hope things improve for you soon on the pain and the writing front.
