I'm sure you're all going to tell me it has been like this for two months and (once again) aren't I behind the times for just noticing it, but do you all have a link at the top of your Bookshelf in KDP about Amazon paperbacks (in beta)? (At least the change to the report makes more sense now.)
Are you on any boards where people have tried it and described the process, or have you uploaded yourself? It's on my Dreaded List (patent pending) but, you know...one day soon.

I just got it the other day. I'm not sure what the point is if you use CreateSpace, so it was sort of a {shrug} moment for me

I have it and here's what I know.
You can transfer your books over to KDP from CreateSpace or you can create paperbacks directly from KDP. At present, there are no mechanisms in place for ordering proof copies or author copies (books at cost). So I have chosen to ignore the option until there is. It's only partially functional at this point and hey, who doesn't want to pay full price for their own books? Um...me!

Aha, this disappeared on me this morning. Either they gave up on me doing it (I wrote and told them, not until I can see a review copy, sorry, but it's my business and reputation on the line too and I need to see with my own eyes it looks okay) or the problems they have had so far have made them suspend the beta test of the PBs.

You're right lou, it's gone from mine, too. It was there this morning, I noticed 'cos I always have to click it off - I can't see how many books I haven't sold otherwise.
