The American Cancer Society puts on a great event each year called Relay for Life. It's a 24-hour relay where participants walk or run around a track for twenty-four hours (different team members not the same person ). We've participated in this event in the past but this the first time it's been so personal, after my wife's battle with Cancer. She put together a Relay team at her work and so far they've raised over 110K (Jennifer's team has raised over 30K) that all goes to the American Cancer Society to fund research to end Cancer. She was one of two survivor speakers and also co-led the Survivor's Lap! A lot of fun. I recorded her sharing her story with the crowd: And here is Jennifer. I'm so proud of her.

In the "small world" category: When I lived in the Bay Area it was just east of there, in San Jose. Our best friends lived in Campbell.
