I've no idea what came over me but I've published two books in two days. Now I need to lie down in a darkened room and a LARGE glass of Merlot. The Melbourne Medallion - Gemini Detectives #2authl.it/B01DSWXKN0A priceless heirloom. A stolen diary. A leading lady holding a gun. Does it all add up to Murder? When Linzi and Loren Repton arrive at the Stanby Playhouse to search for a missing diary, they find their client, actress Josie Middleton, standing over the body of Stuart Allen. With the police determined to take things at face value, the Gemini Detectives have just twenty-four hours to prove her innocence, or Josie's big comeback will be as dead as her co-star. Download The Melbourne Medallion and discover the truth for yourself in this traditional British whodunit. And a book for middle grade readers, though adults have loved the series too. US LinkChamaeleon: Time Walker - Secret Spy #3A boy spy on a deadly mission. A bully who has sworn to stop him. Kel, a fourteen-year-old spy for the King of Crell, has one month to travel to Jerann and deliver a priceless ruby ring. Waylaid by the people of Anconnu and asked to choose the next Time Walker, he agrees, but discovers that someone in the country doesn't want him to succeed. Now he must enter the terrifying Time Vault and face a ruthless enemy or risk the loss of the Jewel of Jerann and the failure of his mission. Read Chamaeleon: The Time Walker and join Kel on his most exciting mission yet.

Congratulations!
I wish I could publish two books in two days. I'll have to settle for the glass of Merlot. That, I can manage.

Not only two in two days, but in two different series! That's fab. Well done. If I ever grow up I want to be just like you... and please pass the Merlot!

Wow, congratulations!
I think that batch publishing makes a lot of sense -- pack all the extra sales-checking and promo into a short period of time then get back to the writing.
Good luck with them. I'll have some Merlot, too, while we're at it.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone, and thanks to Becca Mills for the Merlot - hold out your glasses them as wants some - but I'm feeling a bit of a fraud. It really has been quite a saga. Chamaeleon: Time Walker was started early 2014 but left half written as readers clamoured for more Verity. Then, around August of that year, I started The Melbourne Medallion. I got stuck, went back and finished Chamaeleon and sent that to my editor. It was ready to go by October and I asked Dianne, (a friend who had done the covers for the two others in the series) for the cover. It has taken her 18 months - yes, you read that right 18 months! - to come up with same. I don't particularly like it, it's not what I originally asked for, and she got the title wrong (it should be The Time Walker). As you can imagine, I was so desperate to get the book out there after all the delays, I took what she gave me and published. Maybe I should have chased her more often, but she was doing it as a favour (though I do bung her twenty quid now and again for the work she does on covers and my website), she is a busy woman, and I hate to seem as if I'm demanding, or begging. When she sent me a sketch last July which I okayed, she promised to get it finished, yet it still took another 9 months and I only chased twice in that time. In the meantime ill health and plot problems meant I took ages to finish The Melbourne Medallion, and it's little more than coincidence that I received the cover for TW at the same time I was finalising the blurb for MM. One thing is clear - if I ever write any more Chamaeleon stories, I'll be going to Katie Stewart for the bl**dy cover.

congratulations! It's such a lot of work to hit publish, and you deserve a case of Merlot (though don't drink it all in one day! lol). I'll go check them out.
