Anyone doing this? Trying?
I am...trying...I have fantasies of writing my books via dictation and transcription and going for walks, painting, folding laundry while I "write". I REALLY want to make it work, but the learning process is intimidating.

I tried but found I'm not an oral/aural person. I'm a visual/tactile one. It would have been nice to have it work out but it made me crazy. Especially with having to be on top of things so much when it came to the errors that inevitably happen. I will say, though, that I had some spectacularly funny sentences that I probably should have kept a copy of before fixing.  There's a thread in here about using Dragon that Dean so graciously maintained when he started dictating. I believe he has gone back to typing again, though. |

Oh, and I don't know about Dragon 13, but version 11 had a dirty mind! No matter how many ways I enunciated, it turned direction into erection. |

Yeah, it made for some really kooky sentences. There were a couple other things it did consistently that I'm sure the newer version is better at. It was a fun experiment and if I was a story teller and not a story writer, I think it would be well worth taking the time to learn.
