I was wondering if anyone else had this in their area. I guess I could dig around. Prime Now delivers to your house within 2 hours, or within 1 hour with an upcharge. We haven't used it yet, but my BIL did all of his grocery shopping with it earlier this week. It was in the news that they were trying it in NYC. Amazon has a million square foot warehouse here (San Antonio), so just wondering if we are a test market or if this is wide already.

I went ahead and answered my own question.
It's been a busy year! We're currently offering 1-hour and 2-hour deliveries in Manhattan & Brooklyn, Baltimore, Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, Austin, Houston, Indianapolis, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, San Francisco, San Jose, San Antonio, Las Vegas, Sacramento, and Phoenix, with many more to come! Follow us on Twitter (@amazonprimenow) to get all the latest launch announcements and special offers.
The main grocery chain here is supposed to be working on something like this. They better get hopping.

That's amazing. I can see why Amazon scares people a little! Doesn't scare me, though--just continually amazed at how good a job they do at innovating and expanding. I don't pay attention to business news, but Walmart must be a little afraid of Amazon, too.

I don't think we have it here yet. It's a neat idea but I don't see it coming to rural Maine anytime soon.

Heh. No one who sells stuff is safe from Amazon.

I don't see it coming to rural north Idaho anytime soon either. I'd be happy just to get decent broadband, but we are at the cavernous nadir of the digital divide.

I don't think we have it here yet. It's a neat idea but I don't see it coming to rural Maine anytime soon. It would be great to have here, because we're stuck with Cronig's (small-ish, with a very good selection for its size, friendly staff, and sometimes ludicrously high prices) and the Stop & Shop, which is often just as expensive but has no charm and more importantly never has everything on my list. We have a couple of smaller markets, too, but nothing big or cheap. To get that you need a day-trip off island, which is about $60 for the car plus gas etc, and it eats the whole day. Rural areas are where this would be especially awesome, though. I get our toilet paper through the subscribe-and-save thing and have ordered some other groceries, too. 2 hour delivery would rock, but I don't see it happening here.

Have it here, but I haven't tried it yet. And I thought Amazon has crazy fast delivery already. Bought something Friday afternoon and had it delivered today on Sunday for free (with Prime membership). But 48 hours, forget it, 2 hours now!

Not in Ottawa, but the big grocery store chain here is "delivering" to the parking lot. It's better than it sounds. You buy stuff online and then pick it up in front of the store.

We've got in our area (Dallas) and I've used it half a dozen times since it popped up a few months ago. I love it!
