Where the hell have I been, anyway? I have no freaking idea. I just lose my way in life and forget to pop in. Mea culpa. Glad to still see familiar faces here. Have I missed anything, other than the publication of Fred's book, which sits on my Kindle patiently waiting for me.

Hi Shawn!
I was going to chase you away from Facebook to get you over here. Nothing earth shattering here, except lots of new books published and our writing corner for serious writing.
We're still the same old friendly writers pub.

Oh, good. Glad I haven't received the capital punishment for my eternal laziness. Glad everyone is writing!
I've been tied up with many new things, most of which have a minimal amount to do with writing. Got a new serial currently going, though, that I am loving writing.

Sounds great, Shawn! I saw your lovely wedding pictures on Facebook. Must say your story is so romantic. And you're still going strong together. And congrats to the new grandbaby!

Yes, that little guy was one of the non-writing things that filled the summer, quite happily.

I thought it was a kid of yours at first, not a grandkid! If that photo on your website bio page is anything to go by, you're only about 9-10 years older than me, and my kids are on the early end of elementary school. Ah well, the range of ages for having kids is pretty broad, I guess.

Ah well, the range of ages for having kids is pretty broad, I guess. True. We have some friends who are raising two girls who are about six months apart in age. The younger is their child and the elder is their grandchild. The girls look a lot alike and get asked all the time if they're twins. They tend to just say yes.

I have a friend here who got pregnant shortly after her first grandchild was born. She thought it was menopause!

Grandkids are our reward for not eating our children when they were young. I kid, I kid. We have all girls, so there was that difficult 13-16 year old age bracket, but other than the hormone years, they were dreams, really.
