I've used Word 2010 for years (and other iterations before that--although I am very far from 'knowing' the program) and always in the past it has 'opened' on the 'home' page--which gives me a wide range of options for dealing with the text. I must have done something awkward, because it now opens on the 'file' page--and when I click to bring up the 'home' page it reverts to 'file' as soon as I have executed any of the options available on 'home'.
It is not a huge problem, as I am still able to go to 'home', and still able to choose an option, e.g., 'select all' or whatever--but it's annoying. Any suggestions from more skilled Word writers?
