Don't like. The entire book description only shows a few lines of my blurb, AND the reviews are shown in percentages. Now instead of almost 100 five star reviews, it shows 57%. I don't like.

...and it only shows the first 3 Also-Boughts without clicking more. This is good for my one series that only has two books out, but not for my pen name, as the first 5 also-Boughts are all mine from the same serial.
Geesh.

I don't have that. Must be something they're trying out.

Mine still looks the same, too.

Weird. Why would they want to show less of the blurb and fewer also-boughts? It sounds like a way *not* to sell books.

I just got the new page (see below). I think the changes might be to make it more mobile friendly. Interestingly if you change the zoom level in your browser you get more Also-Boughts below the book. The cover is HUGE, which is kinda nice, but I wish the series name were more prominent. I better hope the first sentence of my blurb is good 'cuz that's all you get now. Mine still shows number of reviews, not percentages.

Yeah, I couldn't tell you, since I'm mobile unfriendly I meant it more in the context of responsive design. Google just rolled out an update that penalizes sites that aren't responsive. Maybe this is in response to responsiveness.

This is what it looks like on my computer but I don't see anyone else's books that way yet. No also boughts, just also viewed.

I still get the old page if I click on the Kindle version.

Also the publish date has been removed from the description, and added to the 'publisher line' under product details...for some books. Some have no date anywhere... The book might have been released yesterday, or ten years ago. The only way I can tell the age is to look inside for copyright date or by the oldest review (ballpark). Mine do have date though.

Weird. Why would they want to show less of the blurb and fewer also-boughts? It sounds like a way *not* to sell books. It would seem that way to me, too. Based on those changes, I would imagine that Amazon either know or believe that most buyers don't read blurbs and don't look much past the first few also-boughts. I noticed that the overall quantity of a-bs is about the same, but they are spread across more "pages." The entire blurb is still accessible, but you have to click to see it. Same with a-bs.

Missed this thread.
I saw it today, and I'm not overly impressed. Hard to say though, because I hate change on principle. Not impressed that more of the blurb is hidden, though the possition is better.

Mark started a thread on KB about the series links being dead on the new pages and sure shit, mine are broken too:
This is only on the new page layout which how it displays on my laptop, but on my desktop it's still the old layout. Odd how that works since same IP address and all that, but anyway, the dead 404 links are on the new page layout.

Sure, NOW I see this thread, after I started a new one! (Typical of me. Days late to the party and underdressed, to boot.)

No one wearing a halo and horns could possibly be underdressed.

KDP reply:
Doesn't look like they could fix it since they went back to the old page layout, but at least the series links are working again.
