I've heard mention of these elsewhere.
What are they? Do you have one, and if so how many are in your team?

It's a group that will hit the digital streets to help you promote your books. You can rally on them for reviews with ARCs, to post on forums, FB groups, etc about your new releases. I tried to set my street team up. I even had a nifty graphic and a special name for the team: In the hopes to get folks excited to join, but I didn't get much traction, so I've put it in the backburner for now. I know they're very effective in romance, but I'm not sure about the thriller genre.

I've been thinking about trying something like this, but I'm not sure I could pull it off. Thanks for posting that podcast, Amelia. Hopefully it'll help me decide.

Thanks Alan, and Amelia. I'm not sure it would work in the Cozy Mystery genre, either, and, at the moment, doubt that I have enough fans to make it viable. I did ask on my Facebook author page for reviews of Murder by the Glass and got precisely one.

I have a very small fan group. Not calling it a street team as such. Only 33 members. But they have promised to review and some of them will beta read too. I would find it hard to ask people to work for me like that, though.

The longer you watch, the more you realize some of the dolphins are having problems...
