I am really an oil painter who like to paint alla prima in the open air. Most of the covers on my website Original Art Covers are based on paintings. However, as the weather has not been suitable for painting outside, I have recently made a few covers based on original photographs instead. |

Your photography skills must be pretty sharp, Daphne! I never get good results (so nicely differentiated and contoured) when I try to photograph feathers.

The daffodil on the plum velvet is striking! I felt a bit mean picking it. It was blooming bravely in my garden all by itself.  |

I've got a nice little camera which I can carry in my pocket for all photo opportunities. But the sun is out today, so I am going out to do my first sketch of the year!  |
