What a great interview, Lynda and Suzy! I feel like mailing you both a box of cupcakes, just to be cheeky.

I enjoyed the interview too. We should do more of that kind of thing around here. There's something more relaxed and fun about an interview between people who know each other.

Yum. I'd be happy with just the frosting.

Have you left me one? Or do I get the crumbs? Thanks, Becca - a perfect example of the genre and it's set me thinking. This actually highlights some of our common language differences. In the UK we used to call those fairy cakes. This one is filled with Smarties, and the icing could be real cream or butter cream. In the US it's a cupcake crammed with M & Ms and topped with frosting. I usually hate doing author interviews - I never know what to say! - but Suzy was fairly gentle with me (and she said some lovely, kind things about me and my work) so that I quite enjoyed it, in the end.

I left you the blue Smarties, Lynda. I don't like blue sweets.
