So I went for a short vacation with the hubs for 3 days. I refrained from writing during that time to give us the time to be together just the two of us. But I used my computer over the open internet connection in the place we rented. And….now I've got something affecting my Firefox!! And I have a Mac, which I know isn't impervious to problems. But my computer just isn't acting normal.
Every time I use Firefox, it slows down, times out, and then I find that several windows opened. I'm going to try uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox. I've wiped the history. I've done some cleaning of my computer. It's possible that my 4-year-old Macbook is just quietly giving up the ghost, but it could not pick a worse time to do so as I'm traveling a lot in the next month.
*sigh* Here's hoping Lappy comes back to life soon! In the meantime, back to using Safari for me…or loading Chrome.

Ugh, terrible. (((hugs))). I hope uninstalling Firefox will work. Or you might switch to Chrome.

I don't know from Macs, but if you were a PC-user, I'd ask if you were running good antivirus and malware software that automatically updates itself daily. (?)

I did a clean on my computer. I'm still distrustful of Firefox, so I'm sticking with Safari even though it annoys me. I think if I used Chrome, it might really bog down my older Macbook.
If not anything else, this might serve as a reminder to people to protect your computers, especially the ones you travel with!

Does Mac not have any antivirus software available to it?
