Man, you're as obsessed with the Tesla as I am with boobs. What can I say? That Tesla's got a great pair of headlights.  Really, it's the combination of perfect virtue, deep comfort, high safety, and ultimate fun. How often does something like that come along? No guilt at all. |

I see a lot of Tesla's around the city. San Francisco has the young tech workers who can plunk down for a Tesla like it's a Kia. It's a slick looking car. There is actually one around my block. I've seen it when he's had his garage door open when I'm walking my dogs. It's plugged in like a shopvac powering up. Pretty cool. |

I've never been into cars much. I had a BMW535 once. The wife had a Jag. That's back when the economy was actually working. Neithe one was worth the trouble. Now I drive a shitty litte Yaris with 200k miles on it, and I love the thing. There's only one car I miss, and that's the brand new Jeep I totaled about ten years ago. But that's just because of where it could take me.

Yeah, best car I ever owned. It's never been in the shop, I get 40MPG, and I don't have to worry that someone's gonna key-scratch the thing in the parking lot.

Hm, I'll keep the Yaris in mind. I need to replace my nidsize sedan with something much more fuel-efficient, now that I have a long commute.
Just noticed that the 2014 Mazda 3 got a great nod from Consumer Reports. I used to have a Mazdaspeed 3, and it was a terrific car. The regular 3 isn't as exciting, but it might be good bet for commuting. It's a little more substantial than the Yaris.

Mazdas are good. My current sedan is a Mazda, and it's a nice car. Just too pricey to run over long distances.

I had three Dodge minivans before that, and the Mazda has much better fuel efficiency than those. But I don't drive a whole lot anymore.
