Congratulations, Fred. I guess I'm off to buy a copy.
Did anyone announce at KB?

Thanks guys. I put it on the Book Bazaar, but it takes my posts a day or two to show because I'm still being monitored. It should show up there soon. Of course, it's pretty useless without the look inside feature being active at the 'Zon.

Of course, it's pretty useless without the look inside feature being active at the 'Zon. Your posts are being monitored? Jesus. They don't even monitor mine--well, they do show up to "correct" me most times, but I'm not monitored. ETA: I meant did someone post a "Fred finished his book!" thread in the WC. I'd do it, but I come with undesirable baggage. Someone else could though. By the way, if someone is worried about doing this, I'd say don't because Fred's book has become a narrative over there by now, so it's as much news as self-promotion.

HOLY. SHIT. Congrats, Fred. The process from finding an editor to publishing was fast! Awesome.

This part of your blurb is bad ass:
Scientists told Sebastian Collier that freezing a man for the trip to Triangulum was a simple procedure. Little more than a nap. But when the systems performing routine bodily maintenance go to great lengths to keep him alive, it’s debatable what emerges from his cryogenic chamber could be called a man at all.

I posted in WC. Hopefully it'll get a lot of views before I'm prodded.

The link in your post over there goes to a 404 error, Suzy.

I posted in WC. Hopefully it'll get a lot of views before I'm prodded. I don't think that's the prod-worthy. Peeps are always posting threads in that vein (finally, after 10 years, etc).

I had to pause--$4.99? That's more than Jeff Bezos has made from me all year. But I did it--and I am amazingly cheerful even though (between Multnomah County Library and the backs of cereal boxes) I rarely pay money to read. Woo hoo! Carlos was acknowledged, and he hadn't done anything to deserve it--the equivalent of a free ride to Triangulum. But is he a hitchhiker, or a stowaway? Dunno. Looks like a fun ride, though.

So did you get a sales bump from the KB post?

Subtracting the sales from this site, I have 1 unaccounted for sale, which I assume is from over there. I also have someone reading the thing on KU. They started before Suzy posted this thread, so I assume it was someone watching new books as they popped out on KU. They're about 1/3 of the way through the book. Though, I guess it could be twenty different people who gave up on page 10, right?
I'm getting ticked at Amazon. They still don't have my categories right. I wanna post the thing on Facebook so my friends can help spread the word, but I don't want to mention it until the categories are fixed and the look inside is working, because THAT shuts off for a while every time they screw around with the thing to mess with the categories. Once it's right, I'm gonna contact Amazon and ask them to reset my 30 days.
