Because I am part cowgirl, I wear either jeans or denim shorts depending on the season. (Full disclosure: I wear denim on my bottom half because that's the best type of garment for wearing a gun, which is SOP for me.) Top is almost always a t-shirt with a hoodie thrown over in cold weather.
And I am always barefoot at home, regardless of the season.

Pajamas. If I didn't have to go out to work I wouldn't even own anything other than pajamas.

I'm normally writing at night so sometimes I have blue jeans and a t-shirt on, but most of the time it's a pair of loose pants and a t-shirt. Very boring.

Terry Pratchett said of Sam Vimes - "He'd heard that writers spent all day in their dressing gowns drinking champagne. This is, of course, absolutely true."
It is certainly true about me. Although more often coffee than champagne.

I'm in yoga or sweat pants until just before I have to leave to do the kiddie carpool. Then I dress. On the days I don't drive carpool, I get dressed about 3:30 pm, just before my hubs gets home just so he doesn't think I'm being lazy.
I did do a little test a few weeks ago. I put on the same jeans and blouse every day for 5 days. It was a colorful blouse, with a very distinct necklace. On the 6th day, I stayed in my yoga pants and T-shirt. I asked my hubs and son if they'd noticed anything different about me all week... They both looked me up and down, and both agreed I'd worn my 'pj's' (they think yoga pants are pj's) all week.
Test results: it doesn't matter if I get dressed or not.

Test results: it doesn't matter if I get dressed or not. And they say guys are supposed to be visually-oriented. Maybe that only applies to nudity.

Pajamas. That way, when my writing puts me to sleep, I'm dressed for the occasion.

Quick mother-in-law story. 15 or so years ago, my MIL had breast cancer and was going to undergo a mastectomy. She was in her 60s and lived alone so I traveled out to Syracuse from Maine where we were living at the time to spend 2 weeks taking care of her.
That she needed a woman with her was evident when she explained with great embarrassment that the doctor had asked if she wanted reconstructive surgery at the same time. She refused because she did not want to have a discussion with the doctor on how to make a new breast match her 60 plus year old one. That she needed my twisted sense of humor was evident when she nearly peed herself because I told her I could rig her up something with a tube sock and tennis ball.
She's gone now and we had a few clashes along the way. The woman was probably more bigoted than Archie Bunker, but I do miss her.
**walks away still chuckling over Lindy's skin comment.

It's nice that you took care of her, Laura. And she should've just had both done while she was at it. Nothing wrong with a couple matching big ones. My best friend's wife had to have one removed, so she had both removed because she was predisposed. They claimed they ordered a pair of the same size, but my internal caliper meter tells medifferent.
